DPM appeals IOK people to boycott forthcoming sham polls

Srinagar, April 06, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Political Movement (DPM) has appealed to the Kashmiri people to totally boycott the forthcoming so-called elections in the territory. The DPM General Secretary, Muhammad Shafi Reshi, addressing a meeting of party activists in Ganderbal said that India had exploited the participation of people in these sham polls in the international forum as a referendum in its favour.

Muhammad Shafi Reshi said that Kashmir was not a border dispute between Pakistan and India but was an issue pertaining to the future of millions of Kashmiris. He deplored that instead of resolving the dispute, India was killing innocent Kashmiris to prolong its illegal hold on Jammu and Kashmir.
