Karachi, July 09, 2012 (PPI-OT): Dr. Mirza Ikhtiar Baig, Advisor to Prime Minister on Textile and Central Leader PPP has been awarded Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Talent Award on account of his contribution to the national economy. He received the award by Deputy Attorney General of Pakistan Irshad Ali Kaher at a ceremony organized by Friends of Pakistan in collaboration with Ministry of Culture Sindh. The ceremony was held at the National Museum Auditorium and attended by a large number of guests, government officials, PPP leaders and media representatives.
There were total 13 awards given to the leading personalities from different walks of life. The awards for Late Mehdi Hassan and Late Fouzia Wahab were received by their sons. Dr. Baig who was the Chief Guest of this ceremony, said it’s an honour to receive this prestigious award consecutively for the second time.
