Islamabad, January 30, 2015 (PPI-OT): President Mamnoon Hussain has said that Dr. Maleeha Lodhi’s appointment as Pakistan’s Ambassador/Permanent Representative to the Unite Nations will further strengthen Pakistan’s role at that important forum.
The President while congratulating Ambassador–designate, who called on him today at Aiwan-e-Sadr stated that she has been entrusted with a big responsibility and that with her extensive experience and proven acumen as a seasoned diplomat and scholar she will be very successful in projecting the true image of Pakistan as a peace loving and active member of the comity of nations. The President advised the Ambassador-designate to play an effective role at UN fora to promote and protect Pakistan’s national interest.
