Elements behind an organized anti-Army conspiracy should be brought to justice: Siddiqui

Islamabad, March 24, 2023 (PPI-OT): PML-N Leader Senator Irfan Siddiqui has said that the elements behind an organized conspiracy against Pakistan army should be brought to justice. Talking to media in Islamabad on Thursday, he said the incumbent army chief, who was targeted even before his appointment, still remains the target of smear campaigns led by the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf. He said PTI is targeting the army not only within the country but also at the international level. He added that letters are being sent to United Nations and other organizations and they have hired firms for propaganda.

Irfan Siddiqui said PTI leaders are reaching out to diplomats in Islamabad to make them believe that the army is trampling on basic human rights through the government, and that the army is responsible for whatever is happening in the country. Senator Siddiqui said that targeting the army as an institution and accusing its chief is equivalent to undermining the national Defense. He said such elements should be put in the dock at the earliest.
