Amman (IINA) – The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) and the Saudi Fund for Development (SFD) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) under which the Fund will donate $1 million to cover the cost of treatment for underprivileged Syrian patients, Petra reported.
The signing ceremony was attended by Princess Ghida Talal, chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the KHCF and Center, and Advisor to the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the SFD Ahmed Bin Aqeel Al-Khateeb.
The MoU was signed by Nisreen Qatamish, director general of KHCF, and Yousef Bin Ibrahim Al-Bassam, vice chairman and managing director of SFD. Princess Ghida expressed her sincere gratitude to the government of Saudi Arabia and the SFD for their “generous” support.
“On behalf of many Syrian cancer patients and their families, we thank the Saudi government for its generous donation and support. This donation will allow these patients to continue their life-saving treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center”, she said.
