The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and USAID signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Peshawar on Tuesday for rehabilitation of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
Under the MoU, the UNDP will spend one hundred and twenty million dollars on the welfare of tribal people.
Special attention will be paid to the rehabilitation of infrastructure, rule of law and good governance.
Fifteen thousand people of Khyber, North and South Waziristan agencies will benefit from it.
Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Iqbal Zafar Jhagra who was also present on the occasion said FATA economic rehabilitation programme will prove a milestone in the socio-economic development of tribal people.
