National Rural Support Programme and Agency for Barani Areas Development have signed a Memorandum of Understanding in Rawalpindi to facilitate peasants in water scarcity areas through alternative irrigation systems.
DG, ABAD on the occasion said that efforts are being made to combat water scarcity and climate change issues through technology based water resource and socioeconomic development in 13 Districts.
He said that most favourable agricultural technologies are being introduced besides augmentation of water resources to bring maximum area under cultivation.
