Minister for National Food Security and Research Sahibzada Mehboob Sultan says a long term strategy has devised for uplift of small farmers.
Addressing Kinnow Export Convention in Sargodha, he said under the strategy, fifty percent subsidy will be given to small farmers on purchase of specific agriculture machinery.
The Minister said twelve thousand laser-leveling machines would be provided to farmers on subsidized rates over the next three years.
Sahibzada Mehboob said Pakistan has the capacity to produce all types of fruits and vegetables and the government is trying to find out new International markets their export.
He said the demand of Pakistani Kinnow is very high across the world due to its better taste and three lac ton kinnow was exported during last year.
