Punjab Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar has directed the Cabinet Sub-Committee on Price Control for taking effective measures to stabilise the prices of essential items. While issuing directives, the Chief Minister asked the deputy commissioners to keep a close eye on the prices of essential commodities in their respective districts.
He also ordered indiscriminate action against violators who are fleecing common citizens by jacking up prices artificially.
He said that the prices and quality of essential items should also be regularly checked in Sunday bazaars.
