Engineer Khurram Dastagir takes charge as Minister of State for Privatisation

Islamabad, June 22, 2013 (PPI-OT): Engineer Khurram Dastagir took charge as Minister of State for Privatisation today. After taking charge, Secretary Privatisation gave a detailed briefing to the Minister regarding the mandate and working of the Privatisation Commission. All Director Generals, Officers of the Commission and Consultants were present in the briefing.

In his opening remarks, the Minister said that he had been assigned one of the most challenging jobs of carrying forward privatisation agenda of the government. He stressed upon the necessity of transparency and fair play in such endeavors.

The Minister further reiterated his commitment to addressing all the issues faced by the Commission in carrying forward its agenda on priority basis.
