Engineer Rasheed welcomes PAK PM’s peace talks offer

Srinagar, May 31, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, former member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly, Engineer Abdul Rasheed, has welcomed the peace talks’ offer to India by Pakistan Prime Minister, Imran Khan, and termed a positive initiative.

Engineer Abdul Rasheed addressing a press conference in Srinagar said Kashmir is a political dispute and needs to be resolved politically. “Deal this political dispute politically. Don’t rule Kashmir through the barrel of gun,” he added.

He said after a huge mandate the Indian Prime Minister should behave like a statesman and start talking about Kashmir as no one can suppress the voices of the people of occupied Kashmir. He said to create conducive atmosphere in the territory, the occupation authorities should release all illegally detained Hurriyat leaders and activists languishing in different jails.
