Srinagar, August 03 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, member of the so-called Kashmir Assembly and the President of Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP), Engineer Abdur Rasheed has termed the authorities’ decision to release 10 youth on the eve of Eid-ul-Fitr as a mere eyewash and misleading. Engineer Rasheed addressing his party workers in Srinagar said that if the authorities had any respect towards the religious sentiments of Muslims then they should release all the political prisoners unconditionally.
He said that the people of Kashmir would not be impressed by the so-called goodwill gesture as hundreds of Kashmiris were languishing in jails of India and the territory.
He said that those who were trying to mislead Kashmiris by asking them to celebrate release of 10 minor kids should explain that why Dr Qasim Fakhtoo, Masarrat Aalam Butt, Mushtaq-ul-Islam and other Hurriyet leaders were not being released.
