Eradication of corruption from the country is top most priority of NAB: Javed Iqbal

Karachi, March 01, 2018 (PPI-OT): Chairman NAB Honourable Justice Mr. Javed Iqbal said that eradication of corruption from the country is the top most priority of NAB. NAB would continue to perform its national duties in accordance with law by upholding merit and transparency across the board. The menace of Corruption is cancer which has to be exterminated from its roots. NAB officers are not only duty bound to work for eradication of corruption but shall also use their all energies to make the country corruption free. The Chairman NAB expressed these views while reviewing the performance of NAB Karachi during his visit to NAB Karachi regional bureau.

He said NAB Karachi is important regional bureau engaged in investigating and recovering the looted money from the corrupts. He said the complaints, inquiries and investigations should be completed within the prescribed period of ten months. No laxity in this regard would be tolerated. He said that NAB is strictly adhering to the policy of “Accountability for All” as NAB doesn’t believe on revenge neither it has affiliation with any political party or individual.

Chairman NAB said the first and last affiliation of NAB is with Pakistan its people and constitution. He directed all officers of NAB to perform their duties without any discrimination and in accordance with law of the land. He urged the officers to expedite their workings and keep pace with the Chairman NAB. Officers having lackadaisical approach will find no place in NAB. Now Accountability would be seen to be done will be visible across the board. Earlier the chairman planted a sapling at NAB Karachi. He also inaugurated second floor of NAB Karachi building. DG NAB Karachi Muhammad Altaf Bawani accompanied the chairman.
