Excise and Taxation Department recovers 320 Kg Charas – Accused Arrested

Karachi, October 20, 2012 (PPI-OT): Excise and Taxation Department has recovered 320 Kilogram Charas and arrested two accused and impounded two trucks. According to details on special directives of Provincial Minister for Excise and Taxation Mukesh Kumar Chawla a special team constituted for the purpose headed by Zulfiqar Ali Shaikh ETI spotted a truck registered No. PKB 351 near Marhaba Station National Highway Ghotki and when he searched, he found 120 Kg Charas hidden in parts of the truck. An accused Nazar Muhammad resident of Pasheen Quetta was arrested and truck was impounded.

A case has been registered and investigations are underway. In an another raid Basharat Hussain Khushk detected truck registered mark TKC-611 near Bhittai Petrol Pump Kandiyaro and recovered 200 Kg Charas hidden in different parts of the truck and arrested accused Dar Khan resident of Saryab Road Quetta. Truck has been impounded and investigations are in progress. Provincial Minister Mukesh Kumar Chawla while appreciating the efficiency of the department vowed to continue his struggle against drugs.
