Fascinating and memorable closing ceremony of First Mini Olympics 2019

Karachi, December 08, 2019 (PPI-OT): A historic event of Fist Mini Olympics 2019 ends at Iftikhar Syed Sports Academy here on 07th December 2019. Chief Guest on the occasion Federal Minister for Information Technology and Convener MQM Pakistan Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Legend Cricketer of Pakistan Javed Miandad, Former Test Cricketer Shoaib Muhammad, Olympian Hanif Muhammad accompanied by Senior Deputy Convener MQM Pakistan Amir Khan, Deputy Convener Kanwar Naveed Jameel, MNA Kishwer Zehra and Olympian Iftikhar Syed were present at the occasion.

Mini Olympics is “Aroused Karachi” said Federal Minister for Information Technology and Convener MQM Pakistan Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui while talking on the occasion. Chairman DMC (East) Moid Anver has set a tradition to promote the sports through Mini Olympics. World has acknowledged a constructive image of Karachi. This event may surely help to enhance the capabilities of sportsman/sportswomen and they surely embark, he added.

Senior Deputy Convener MQM Pakistan Amir Khan and Deputy Convener Kanwar Naveed Jameel have shown their gratitude for organizing the event of Mini Olympics. They said that the vigorous hard work of Chairman DMC (East) Moid Anver made this event triumphant which shall be remembered for a long time. Now other DMCs should make their contribution for organizing such events.

Legendary Cricketer Javed Miandad said that Karachi has always produced many gems in sports which shall never replace. Chairman DMC (East) Moid Anver has undoubtedly organized a memorable event. I urge Sindh Government to organize such sports events, by putting DMC (East) as a role-model, not only in Karachi but in entire Province of Sindh. I ensure my services for promoting sports and revival of playgrounds. Government must make certain inevitable measures produce sports legends, he further added. Former Test Cricketer Shoaib Muhammad and Former Olympian Hanif Khan acknowledged the successful event as a beacon from Chairman DMC (East) Moid Anver.

Chairman DMC (East) Moid Anwer thanked the sport fans for admire and appreciation. He also thanked the officials for their coordination for the successful event. Later on, prizes and medals were distributed amongst the participants. Chairman DMC (East) Moid Anver presented the Souvenirs to Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, Kanwar Naveed Jameel and Javed Miandad. MNA Iqbal Muhammad Ali, Ex-MNA Sheikh Salahuddin, MPA Abbas Jaffri, Member Rabita Committee MQM Pakistan Khalid Sultan and others attended the occasion.
