Four suspects held during search operation

Islamabad, March 09, 2018 (PPI-OT): Islamabad police along with Pakistan Rangers on Friday conducted search operations in various areas of Lohibher police station and arrested four suspects, a police spokesman said. According to details, officers/officials of Islamabad Police and Pak Rangers and other law enforcement agencies conducted joint search operation in various areas of Lohibher police station. Under supervision of SP (Rural), SHO Lohibher joined this search operation while police commandos, CTF, lady commandos and staff of Bomb Disposal squad also participated in it.

They screened 115 houses and checked more than 203 persons, interrogated them and arrested four suspects besides recovering ammunition, 1180 gram hashish, 150 gram heroin from their possession. SSP Najeeb ur Rehman has said that the purpose of this search operation is to ensure high vigilance in the city and every effort will be made to ensure protection to the lives and property of citizens. He has also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them. The SSP also directed to accelerate efforts to get rid from the menace of drug pushing.
