Chief Justice of Pakistan visits Civil Hospital Quetta and meets young doctors, staff and paramedics
Islamabad, April 09, 2018 (PPI-OT): Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Mian Saqib Nisar, visited Civil Hospital, Quetta and met young doctors, staff paramedics today i.e. 09.04.2018. Young doctors were on strike. The Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan asked them to apprise him of their hardships as strikes added miseries to the patients, visiting hospital on daily basis. They should come to his chambers, if they have any problem.
On this, they discontinued strike and called on the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan in his chamber today and informed that they have not been paid salaries since last six months. Moreover, Civil Hospital being a tertiary care lacks basic facilities and equipments to cater the needs of poor patients. Even none of the hospitals in Quetta possess the facility of MRI. After hearing their problems in detail, the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan has called Chief Secretary and Secretary Health Balochistan in his chambers tomorrow i.e. 10.04.2018.
