19 suspects including four Afghans held during search operation

Islamabad, May 05, 2018 (PPI-OT): Islamabad Tarnol police on Friday conducted search operation in its respective jurisdiction and nabbed 19 suspects including four Afghan nationals, a police spokesman said. Following directions of IGP Islamabad Dr. Sultan Azam Temuri and SSP Islamabad Najeeb-ur-Rehman Bugvi, officers/officials of Islamabad Police along with, Pak Rangers and other security agencies conducted search operation in various areas of Tarnol including Ittefaq Colony, Dhok Koka, both sides of GT Road, Ittehad Plaza and its adjacent areas.

The search operation was participated by DSP Ghulam Muhammad Baqir, SHO Tarnol police station, CTF Police, policemen from police stations of Saddar Zone and police commandoes while 19 suspects including four Afghan nationals were held besides recovery of one pistol from them. Further investigation is underway from them. SSP Islamabad Najeeb-ur-Rehman Bugvi has said the purpose of this search operation and high vigilance is to ensure foolproof security in the city and he further directed all SHOs to continue it. He has also appealed the citizens to remain vigilant and inform police in case of any suspicious activity around them.
