Srinagar, July 07, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leaders and organisations have strongly condemned the killing of three youth including a teenage girl in Redwani area of south Kashmir by Indian forces. The Jammu and Kashmir Democratic Freedom Party (DFP) in a statement issued in Srinagar said the trigger-happy Indian forces’ personnel feel pleasure in killing innocent and unarmed Kashmiris that’s why they always indulge in so-called search operations and use brute force in the garb of such operations. Expressing deep shock over the brutal killing of Shakir Ahmad, Irshad Majeed and Andleeb, it said firing on unarmed civilians has become a routine in the occupied territory where men in uniform are the real rulers who enjoy all powers.
Hurriyat leaders, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Iqbal Mir, Muhammad Ahsan Untoo, Imtiyaz Ahmad Reshi, Ghulam Nabi War and Ghulam Nabi Waseen in a statement in Srinagar strongly condemned the killing of three innocent people including a minor girl injuring and dozens others in Redwani. They termed it genocide of Kashmiri people and the worst kind of state terrorism.
The Chairman of Ummat-e-Islami Qazi Yasir in a statement in Srinagar, expressing deep anger over the killing of civilians in Kulgam said that the Indian forces had grown blood thirsty for the bodies of Kashmiris. He said over the years the forces’ personnel have grown fearless as they have never been punished if they commit any crime. He said the Kashmiri people still have an expectant eye towards the international community and await their right to self-determine.
Hurriyat leader, Zafar Akbar Butt, and the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League in their separate statements in Srinagar condemned the killing and injuring of civilians in Radwani. They said the Indian forces can kill at their will as they continue remain laced with the black laws like Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) and Public Safety Act.
