London, July 11, 2018 (PPI-OT): Hurriyat leader and Chairperson of Kashmir Women’s Movement UK and Europe, Shamim Shawl has appealed to all international human rights organizations to take notice of gross human rights violations perpetrated by the Indian troops particularly against womenfolk in occupied Kashmir.

Shamim Shawl while addressing a press conference at Watford in London said, the sacrifices of Kashmiri women are unprecedented. “One of our great women voice of Kashmir Aasiya Andrabi has been framed in a fake case by India`s National Investigating Agency and shifted to New Delhi along with her associates Fehmeeda Sofi and Nahida Nasreen,” she said.

She said the victims of the India’s unbridled oppressive policy are the Kashmiri children. “They are victimized, harassed and killed,” she said and referred to the cold-blooded murder and gang rape of innocent Aasifa and demanded speedy justice for the victim.

Shamim Shawl announced that an international women conference will be organized by the Kashmir Women’s Movement UK and Europe to highlight the plight of the Kashmiri women and children. She briefed the local media about the latest situation in occupied Kashmir and highlighted the Indian designs to suppress the Kashmiris’ legitimate and just struggle for securing their right to self-determination. Councillor and former Mayer Slough Ishrat Shah, Councillor Asma Rathore and Advocate Fatima also addressed the conference.
