Srinagar, August 03, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyat leader and the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Tehreek-e-Muzahamat, Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi, has said that the Kashmiri youth are rendering their precious lives for the sacred cause of freedom and their supreme sacrifices will not be allowed to go waste.
Bilal Ahmed Siddiqi along with a party delegation visited Rambagh area of Srinagar and expressed solidarity with the family of martyred youth, Mudassir Ahmed Butt. Speaking on the occasion, Bilal Siddiqi paid glowing tributes to the martyred youth. “Our youth are sacrificing their precious lives for the sacred cause of freedom and we ought to protect these supreme sacrifices and continue our struggle with much more determination and sincerity,” he said.
Meanwhile, the Executive Director of a local human rights forum, Voice of Victims, Abdul Qadeer in a statement issued in Srinagar expressed serious concern over house raids and arrest spree unleashed by the Indian police across the occupied territory. He also strongly denounced the booking of innocent youth under draconian law, Public Safety Act (PSA), by the occupation authorities.
He appealed to the UN Human Rights Council, Amnesty International, Asia Watch and other global human rights organizations to take cognizance of the grim situation of human rights in occupied Kashmir.
