Punjab Chief Minister, Sardar Usman Ahmad Khan Buzdar has said that foolproof security arrangements have been made to ensure security of lives and properties of the citizens on the occasion of Eid ul Azha.
In a statement issued in Lahore today, he said that security of the peoples' lives is the foremost priority of the government and no compromise will be made on it at all costs.
He praised the police and law enforcing agencies for effective security measures on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.
The Chief Minister directed the police officials to keep a vigilant eye on the suspicious elements in the parks and places of worship and monitor the entry and exit points of the city of Lahore.
Meanwhile, Sardar Usman Buzdar directed concerned departments to ensure better arrangements for cleanliness of cities, on the second day of Eid-ul-Azha.
He said offal and wastes of the sacrificial animals should be dumped and disposed off in proper manner.
