Srinagar, June 23, 2019 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian troops in their fresh act of state terrorism martyred four Kashmiri youth in Shopian district, today. The troops martyred the youth during a violent cordon and search operation at Daramdora in Keegam area of the district. The martyred youth were identified as Showkat Ahmed, Azad Ahmed Khandey, Suhail Yousuf and Rafi Hassan Mir. The operation continued till last reports came in.
A senior police officer talking to media men claimed that the youth were militants and were killed in an encounter with the troops. The occupation authorities suspended internet service in the district. The troops had martyred one youth during a similar operation in Uri area of Baramulla district, yesterday.
Meanwhile, the troops have launched a similar operation in Kangan area of Ganderbal district. The troops have cordoned off Charwan area of Kangan and conducting house-to-house searches. Hurriyat leader, Mushtaq-ul-Islam in a statement in Srinagar paid glorious tributes to the martyred youth and expressed solidarity with the bereaved families.
He said that the sacrifices of the Kashmir martyrs would yield results and the dawn of freedom would rise very soon. “The sacrifices offered by the youth are the priceless asset for the ongoing freedom movement. All these martyrs have conveyed a message that people in the territory will never surrender despite atrocities perpetrated by Indian troops,” he added.
