Governor, Chief Minister Sindh meet Prime Minister Gilani

Islamabad: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani reiterated that all the political forces of the country must strive together for peace and security throughout the country in order to create conducive environment to step up the pace of development.

The people, he added, are looking towards the elected representatives to help resolve their problems and it is only possible by adopting a collective approach.

The Prime Minister was talking to the Governor of Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ibad and the Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, soon after his arrival at Governor’s House here this afternoon.

The prime Minister emphasized that Parliament is the right forum to deliberate upon all significant national issues and propose solutions for redressal.

The Prime Minister appreciated the solidarity and support expressed by the Quaid of MQM Mr. Altaf Hussain for the AMN-RALLY organized by the Pakistan People’s Party. This gesture he said reflect the political maturity of MQM leadership which would help to establish peace and security in Karachi which is the economic hub of the country.

Earlier both the Governor and the Chief Minister of Sindh briefed the Prime Minister on the political and security situation in Karachi and other parts of the province.

They also apprised him of the progress of development work in different parts of Sindh. They also appreciated Prime Minister’s efforts for developing reconciliation among political forces.
