Govt approves NOCs for setting up five new Cement Plants in Punjab

The Punjab government has approved NOCs for setting up five new Cement Plants in the province.

The decision was taken in a special meeting of the provincial cabinet which met in Lahore with Chief Minister Sardar Usman Buzdar in the chair.

These plants will be established in Khushab, Mianwali, Dera Ghazi Khan and Jhelum with an expected investment of 200 Billion Rupees.

The Cabinet also approved waiver of an additional fee on late registration of motor vehicles for those who could not register vehicles from 1st April to October this year, due to lockdown.

The meeting also took a decision to declare Wildlife Parks at Vehari, Bahawalnagar, Loui Bhair, Rawalpindi, and Bansara Gali in Murree as Zoological Gardens.

Later, addressing a press conference in Lahore, Special Assistant to the Punjab Chief Minister on Information Dr. Firdous Ashiq Awan said that Punjab cabinet approved a policy for recruitment of teachers in the schools of far-flung areas of Punjab.
