Govt to Take Care of Pilgrims’ Interests: Sardar Yousaf

Islamabad, June 17, 2013 (PPI-OT): Federal Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf has said the government will take care of interests of the pilgrims. The 20 percent cut in Hajj quota will be equally distributed among the pilgrims of government and private schemes.

He expressed these views while talking to a 12-member delegation of Hajj Organizers Association of Pakistan (HOAP), which called on him here on Monday and informed the minister about the problems and issues they are facing.

The minister said the objective of the government and HOAP is same to provide facilities to the pilgrims and both should join hands to work hard to facilitate Hajis during Hajj.

He sought cooperation and coordination from HOAP to make the Hajj operation successful by removing hurdles if any in the Hajj operation.

The minister directed the Hajj Group Organizers to submit the booking details by Tuesday so that the exact number of booked pilgrims could be ascertained.
