Karachi, February 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): Ground breaking of infrastructure development work in Sector “E” of Phase-VIII DHA was performed by Brig Muhammad Abdullah, Administrator DHA in a simple ceremony held at the project site. Brig Maqsood Ahmed, Commander Engineering Group (FWO) received the Administrator DHA and explained the salient features of the project.
Ph-VIII constitutes almost 45% of DHA and it is divided into six sectors. Sector A and B have already been developed and opened for construction. Infrastructure development works is currently going on in other 3 sectors which will be completed by this year.
The infrastructure development of the only left over Sector “E” commenced on 20th Jan 2014 in Sector “E” South and today development work started in Sector “E” North which includes construction of main roads, streets development, water supply, storm water drainage and sewerage lines.
The work is being undertaken by FWO. On this occasion Administrator DHA directed FWO and the consultant to ensure quality and speed in the work on sound engineering practices. He also instructed that simultaneous work on various components of the project should be started so that development of Phase-VIII is completed at the earliest.
