Caretaker Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Dost Muhammad Khan says timely extension of government machinery to tribal areas is need of the hour.
Presiding over a meeting in Peshawar, he said quick measures should be adopted for infrastructure development and expected local government elections in tribal areas this year.
Earlier, talking with Ameer Jamat-e-Islami Siraj-ul-Haq, Dost Muhammad Khan said the tribal people faced great hardships and the merger should give them relief in a real sense.
He said holding free, fair and transparent elections are among the top priorities of the caretaker government.
