The AJK government is spending over 80 million rupees to improve transport sector in Azad Kashmir.
Sources in Transport Department told our Muzaffarabad correspondent that a new scheme, Strengthening of Transport Department has been finalized at a cost of 40 million rupees.
Over 20 million rupees would be spent on computerization of record of transport department throughout the state in line with international standards. Under this project, route permits, bus stands and fitness of vehicles would be computerized.
Moreover, 20 million rupees will be spent on other small and big projects to reform transport sector.
