Lahore, September 14, 2018 (PPI-OT): The Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB)’s project Herself in partnership with Facebook ‘She holding workshop on, “She Means Business’ on Friday, September 14, for a full day session starting at 8:30 am till 5:30 pm at Arfa Software Technology Park. International speakers and trainers from Facebook will conduct a series of workshops for women entrepreneurs about how they can use Facebook’s digital marketing for their business and improve their social presence.
“Pakistan is the 6th most populous country with more than 50% of the population comprising of women. It is our duty to step up and empower them. If we cannot empower females, this country is hard to progress”, says Dr. Umar Saif, Chairman PITB.
Since its inception in 2016, HERSELF has trained 250+ women in 5 cycles over a diverse set of trainings including personal development, skill development, freelancing and entrepreneurship. Successful stories of female entrepreneurs from HERSELF include Ghar Par, DIY Geeks and Beauty Hooked.
HERSELF with She Means Business will reach out to female freelancers and entrepreneur community spread out in 40 e-Rozgaar centers across 36 districts in Punjab including 3 women centric e-Rozgaar centres in Lahore, Rawalpindi and Faisalabad. The target is to train 150 trainers, 12000 female trainees across all Punjab over a span of 3 years.
