Housing Minister orders submission of Survey Report, list of Illegal occupants

Islamabad, June 08, 2013 (PPI-OT): Barrister Usman Ibrahim who formally assumed charge as Minister of State for Housing and Works here Saturday gave instructions for provision of a complete and updated Survey Report, submitted in the Supreme Court, regarding status of all government housing units in Islamabad.

He also directed the concerned officials to prepare a complete list of all illegally occupied government houses which needed to be vacated immediately.

The Minister said that the present government had taken up responsibilities with the objective to deliver on merit and there would be no tolerance for corrupt elements.

Earlier on arrival at the Ministry he was welcomed by Nasar Hayat, Secretary, Housing and Works and Amna Imran, Joint Secretary Housing and Works.

An introductory briefing about the working of the Ministry and its attached departments was given to the Minister of State by the Secretary.

The Minister would be given a detailed briefing about the attached departments of the Ministry next week.
