HR abuses by Indian troops in IOK highlighted in Geneva

Srinagar, September 14, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Chairman of Youth Forum for Kashmir, Sardar Asadullah Khan, has apprised the representatives of different rights organizations of the gross human rights violations perpetrated by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. Sardar Asadullah Khan, in his address to the 24th session of the UN Human Rights Council and meetings with the representatives of different rights organizations raised the issue of rights of the Kashmiri children and women with them.

In an interview, he said that he along with the members of All Parties Hurriyet Conference delegation highlighted atrocities of Indian forces on Kashmiris particularly the issue of rape of women and custodial disappearance of youth as well as inalienable right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people. He added that the world bodies supported their cause.
