Huge cache of narcotics seized by coast guards of worth Rs. 50 lakh

Karachi, September 04, 2013 (PPI-OT): Pakistan Coast Guards (PCG) seized large quantity of narcotics from Naka Khari check post near Winder (Balochistan).

PCG officials received information from intelligence sources about the smuggling of narcotics through RCD highway. A special mobile patrol was constituted for snap checking in the area. Different vehicles were stopped for this purpose at RCD highway near naka khari. During checking of a car, PCG mobile patrol team recovered approx 120 kilograms of fine quality of Hashish and 07 kilograms of Opium from the hidden cavities of the car.

The car was coming from Quetta to Karachi. Approx value of Hashish and Opium in the local market is Rs. 50, 00,000/=. Vehicle alongwith driver was taken into custody. Further investigation and legal process is under way by the PCG “Special Investigation Team”.
