India deceiving world through sham polls in IOK

Srinagar, April 13, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Hurriyet leaders have said that India was deceiving the international community through the sham polls in the territory that Kashmir is its part and the Kashmiri people have faith in Indian democracy.

The Hurriyet leaders including Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Muhammad Yaseen Attai and Bilal Ahmad Shah, addressing public gatherings in different areas of Shopian in connection with the election boycott campaign, said that Kashmir had never remained a part of India and the day was not far off when the Kashmiris would get rid of Indian bondage.

They said pro-India politicians were equally responsible for genocide and massacre of the Kashmiri people. They said that Kashmiris reject the so-called elections in the territory and they would continue their struggle till taking the mission of their martyrs to its logical conclusion. Their addressed were punctuated by high-pitched slogans in favour of freedom and against India.

Later, a rally led by Shabbir Ahmad Shah and other Hurriyet leaders was passing through Sugan area of Shopian when Indian police intercepted it resorted to brute force to disperse the participants. Shabbir Ahmed Shah and several Hurriyet activists were injured in the police action. The police also arrested Shabbir Ahmad Shah along with some Hurriyet activists and lodged them in a local police station.
