India planning to deploy 600 paramilitary companies in IOK

Srinagar, October 19, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, India is planning to deploy 600 more companies of paramilitary forces under the garb of smooth conduct of so-called Assembly elections in the territory.

Reports appearing in the press said that the authorities at a meeting, which was also attended by top brass of army and paramilitary forces, had demanded 600 more companies of paramilitary forces from the Indian government ahead of elections.

The reports quoting paramilitary officials said, “There is need for deployment of additional forces during election owing to apprehension in security grid regarding possible disturbance by militants.”
