Indian police arrest 4 persons in Baramulla

Srinagar, March 31, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested four youth during a cordon and search operation in Baramulla district. Indian police and troops conducted a siege and search operation in Malwah and its areas in the district and arrested four civilians. The forces’ dubbed two of the arrested persons as over-ground workers of mujahideen while the others were arrested on the charges of participating in anti-India demonstrations.

The arrest of civilians triggered massive protests in the area. Indian police and troops fired teargas shells to disperse the protesters, triggering clashes between the demonstrators and the forces’ personnel. Locals said that the forces’ personnel ransacked houses and broke windowpanes in Malwah area.
