Indian trooper commits suicide in occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, October 19, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, an Indian trooper committed suicide by hanging himself with a rope at his camp in Baramulla district of north Kashmir.

Sepoy, Ranjat Kumar of 12 Infantry Brigade hanged himself inside the camp at Uri in the district. The colleagues of the trooper after spotting him hanging in the barrack, immediately rushed him to the nearby army hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

The latest incident of suicide raised the number of such deaths among Indian troops and police personnel to 327 since January 2007.
