Investigation process to be expedited on crime case of heinous nature: Senior Superintendent of Police

Islamabad: Senior Superintendent of Police Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik has directed police officials to take effective steps to control crime and expedite the investigation on crime cases of heinous nature.

He made these directions while chairing a meeting at Rescue 15 held to review the performance of Saddar Zone of Islamabad police. The meeting was attended among others by SP (Saddar Zone) Sajid Kiani, ASP Dr. Ghayas Gul, Station House Officers of various police stations in jurisdiction of Saddar Zone, patrolling officers as well investigation officers.

The SSP directed all police officials to adopt professional as well as responsible attitude to mitigate the sufferings of the people. He also reviewed the progress of all police officials performing in Saddar Zone, and ordered to devise an effective strategy to control crime.

The SSP also ordered to ensure arrest of proclaimed offender and other criminals involved in crimes of heinous nature and are still at large. He directed to focus on resolving public complaints and take every possible step to provide maximum relief to citizens. He said those police officials responsible in delaying the registration of cases and doing sluggish investigation would not be spared and strict disciplinary action would be taken against them.

He also directed all police officials performing duties at police stations to improve their performance and address the grievances of the masses on immediate basis following the merit to win the confidence and support of the people for cops’ department.

SP (Saddar) assured to award those cops performing well and also encourage to the efficient policemen. He stressed for speedy disposal of cases and their investigation purely on merit. Policing is a service oriented job and every police official must serve the humanity with devotion, the SP Sajdi Kiani maintained.

SSP M. Yousuf Malik said that FIRs must be registered at police stations on merit and without any delay and inconvenience to the citizens. He asked all the investigation officers of police stations to ensure completion of probe of various cases.

The SSP also directed the police officials to brief their staff at the police pickets and keep them alert to avoid any untoward incident. He ordered to ensure effective patrolling to curb vehicles’ theft.

He also directed the SP and other high officials to personally pursue the progress on the complaints and ensure steps for immediate solution to the problems of the people by remaining personally in touch with them.

The SSP said that Islamabad Police is determined to ensure protection to the lives and property of the citizens and no stone will be leave unturned to accomplish this responsibility.
