IOK employees announce fresh protest calendar

Srinagar, August 08 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, accusing the authorities of being non-serious about their demands, the employees’ Joint Consultative Committee (JCC) has announced a two-day protest calendar programme to press for their pending demands.

The JCC, an amalgam of the employees’ unions, called for the protest calendar programme from August 22.

Addressing a press conference in Srinagar, the JCC leaders Abdul Qayoom Wani, Abdul Gafoor Dar and Rauf Ahmad Butt gave an ultimatum to the authorities that in case their demands are not fulfilled by August 22, they will launch a decisive phase of agitation against the administration.

The JCC leaders also said that they would soon take a decision about supporting the strike call given by Doctors Association against superiors drug scam.
