Islamabad Expo 2015 from tomorrow Punjab minister to inaugurate two-day event

Islamabad, April 17, 2015 (PPI-OT): Two-day Islamabad Expo 2015 organised by Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce (IWCCI) will begin from tomorrow at Islamabad.

The expo will be inaugurated by Punjab Minister for Population Welfare Begum Zakia Shahnawaz while President FPCCI Mian Idrees, Ambassadors, representatives of UN, banks, cellular operators, government departments and large number of businesswomen will participate in the expo.

According to a press release issued here today by founder president of IWCCI, Samina Fazil, around seventy-five thousand people will visit the two day event.

The main purpose of this exhibition is to increase market linkages of women entrepreneurs for promotion of their products, networking, skill development and providing opportunities to those who cannot own or rent a shop.

Women entrepreneurs from Lahore, Karachi, Gilgit, Peshawar, DI Khan, Charsadda, Swat, Abbottabad, and Multan will exhibit their handmade products in this fair.

IWCCI is regularly organising events for promotion of gems, leather, fruits, textiles, footwear products, consumers goods, especially gems and jewellery which helps women empowerment.

Samina said that they have been expecting maximum attendance of families, adding that government has been empowering women through different initiatives which will ensure their representation in all spheres of life.

Former VP FPCCI Naima Ansari said that the expo will be a learning, shopping, and entertainment experience and an opportunity for women from different backgrounds to share their work and goals towards a prosperous future.
