The solution enables JETCO to securely distribute and manage mobile payment services to their end users. The TSM platform complies with state-of-the-art international interoperability standards such as Global Platform and offers JETCO the flexibility to interact with secure elements in various form factors.

The rollout will enable end users to use their mobile phone to transact at participating merchants equipped with NFC-ready point-of-sales (POS) at more than 10,000 acceptance points including globally renowned supermarket chains, convenience stores, fast food chains, cinemas and more

“Gemalto’s strong track record of NFC deployments in Asia leads to an in-depth understanding of both the telecommunications and banking sectors, giving JETCO’s banks a strong competitive edge in mobile contactless payments,” said Mr. John Tsang, Deputy General Manager, JETCO. “A great advantage of the Gemalto TSM’s flexible nature is that it will allow our member banks to leverage multiple payment standards.”
