Jinnah Terminal Flyovers to be opened for traffic by month end: Ebad

Karachi, May, 05 2013 (PPI-OT): Governor Sindh, Dr Ishrat Ul Ebad Khan said the Jinnah Terminal Flyover on Sharea Faisal will be opened for traffic by the end of current month. The development works in the city were affected due to law and order situation; however work on all four flyovers of Sharah-e-Pakistan was continued and owing to the trouble faced by the people these projects will also be completed soon.

He expressed these views while on visit to the development works of Jinnah Terminal Flyover and Shahra-e-Pakistan flyovers on Saturday. He was accompanied by the Provincial Minister for Local Government Jaffer Khawaja, KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi, Commissioner Karachi Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui, D.G Technical Services Niaz Soomro, Project Directors and other high officials with him.

Governor Sindh was informed through a briefing that the carpeting work on, the 290 million worth, Jinnah Terminal Flyover will begin from today and the remaining area will be covered from 14th to 16th May besides the 800 meter carpeting being carried out simultaneously beneath this bridge.

The construction of Jinnah Terminal Flyover will remove another traffic signal at the Sharea Faisal and the people using this corridor would have easy access to National Highway and Airport.

Later, the Governor Sindh visited the four intersections of Shara-e-Pakistan where a flyover each was presently being built to make this corridor signal free from Teen Hatti till Sohrab Goth.
