JKPFL denounces harassment of party leaders in IOK

Srinagar, February 09, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Freedom League (JKPFL) has strongly condemned the crackdown on the party leaders and activists by the authorities to thwart conducting of various programmes in connection with the martyrdom anniversaries of Muhammad Maqbool Butt and Muhammad Afzal Guru.

The JKPFL spokesman in a statement issued in Srinagar said that Indian police raided houses of the party leaders and activists including Imtiaz Ahmad Shah and harassed the inmates particularly women and children. He said that the fresh arrest spree exposed the so-called Indian democracy.

The spokesman said that the cheap tactics being utilised by the Indian government and its puppet administration in the occupied territory could not weaken the freedom sentiment of the Kashmiri people and they would continue their struggle for securing right to self-determination till it reached its logical conclusion.
