JKPM sees communal agenda behind Kouser Naag yatra

Jammu, August 03, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), has said that Bhartiya Janta Party and other Hindu extremist organizations are running a communal agenda on the pretext of Kouser Naag yatra.

APHC leader and JKPM senior vice Chairman, Mir Shahid Saleem in a statement issued in Jammu said that as the so-called assembly elections were around the corner, the BJP and other fanatic Hindu organization like RSS, Bajrang Dal and VHP were hell bent upon creating the communal divide to polarize the voters.

The APHC leader said the fanatical Hindu organizations backed by Indian intelligence agencies want to use this Yatra as an excuse to create another Amarnath in south Kashmir, which needs to be opposed tooth and nail. He said people of Kashmir cannot allow one place after another in Kashmir to be invaded and occupied by the fanatical elements in the name of yatra.
