Adviser on Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit Baltistan Qamar Zaman Kaira has said there should be a fair investigation into the incident of firing on PTI’s long march in Wazirabad.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Friday, he said the investigation must reach logical conclusion.
He said the federal government is ready to extend cooperation in this regard.
Qamar Zaman Kaira said the entire government has condemned the incident.
The Adviser regretted speculations in the wake of firing incident. He said the PTI leadership needs to demonstrate maturity and patience in its conduct.
Qamar Zaman Kaira said doors for dialogue are open but there cannot be any precondition for it.
The Adviser, while replying to a question, said that PTI is in power where the unfortunate incident took place on Thursday so why the Punjab chief minister is silent over the issue.
He said PTI should investigate this very sad incident instead of levelling baseless allegations against institutions.
He said it is the responsibility of leadership to calm their followers otherwise it will create chaos in the country.
