Karachi, November 30, 2012 (PPI-OT): A customary yet significant event of PCF’s calendar, ‘Karachi to Hyderabad, National Road Men’s Cycle Race’ is being organized on Sunday, December 2, 2012 that will be hosted by Sui Southern Gas Company Limited (SSGC).
9 teams, one each from Sindh, Punjab, Khyber Pakhtoonkuah, Balochistan, Islamabad, FATA, Pakistan Army, Pakistan Railway, Sui Southern Gas and WAPDA will participate in the competition. Each team will consist of 6 riders who will kick-off form SSGC’s head office building located at Sir Shah Suleman Road, opposite Karachi Expo Centre. The 142 kms race will culminate at Al-Zeb Restaurant, first toll check post, super highway, Hyderabad.
SSGC’s Managing Director, Zuhair Siddiqui has consented to be the chief guest at the opening ceremony and Munawar Baseer Ahmad, President PCF would be the chief guest in the awards distribution ceremony at Royal Club, opposite Public School, unit # 2, Latifabad, Hyderabad.
During the opening ceremony, on affairs relating to cycling in the country, PCF’s President Munawar Baseer Ahmad will give a comprehensive briefing to the print and electronic media personnel representing the sports fraternity, who are being cordially invited for a breakfast briefing at SSGC House.
The General Council of Pakistan Cycling Federation will also hold its first GC meeting in Karachi, a day earlier to this event at DHA, Golf Club.
