Kashmir Black Day, 27 October 2012

Dushanbe, October 29, 2012 (PPI-OT): Kashmir Black Day was observed at the Embassy of Pakistan on 29th October 2012 in a befitting manner. Around 70 persons attended the event, which included members of Pakistan – Tajikistan Parliamentary Friendship Group, Pak-Tajik Friendship Society, Pakistani community, local journalists from print and electronic media, opinion makers, intellectuals and Tajik nationals from various walks of life.

Mr. Amjad Hussain B. Sial Ambassador of Pakistan, briefed the audience on the significance of this day. He informed them about the historical background of the issue, Indian atrocities committed in Indian Occupied Kashmir, and Pakistan’s principled policy on the issue.

The Ambassador’s address was followed by an active and detailed questions and answers session.

The audience was also shown a documentary on the Kashmir Black Day. The brochures, posters, booklets and articles relevant to the occasion (translated into Russian language) were distributed amongst the participants. The posters were also displayed in the Consular Hall where the Kashmir Black Day was organized.
