Kashmir settlement can bring peace in region: JKPM

Srinagar, May 18, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), a constituent of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC), has said that an amicable settlement of the Kashmir dispute can bring permanent peace in the region. The JKPM spokesman in a statement issued in Rajouri said that the unparalleled sacrifices rendered by the Kashmiri people for the Kashmir cause would not be allowed to go waste.

He expressed concern over the plight of illegally detained Hurriyet leaders and activists in different jails of India and the occupied territory. He deplored that the Kashmiri detainees were being treated inhumanly in the prisons and were being deprived of all basic facilities including the medical care.

He paid rich tributes to prominent martyred liberation leaders, Mirwaiz Moulvi Muhammad Farooq and Khawaja Abdul Ghani Lone and other Kashmiri martyrs.
