Kashmir settlement imperative for regional peace: JKPM

Srinagar, September 07, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Jammu Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM) has urged the United Nations and the world community to help resolve the Kashmir dispute in accordance with the Kashmiris’ aspirations. The JKPM spokesperson, Umer Arshad Inqalabi, in a statement issued in Jammu said that settlement of the dispute was necessary for permanent peace in the region.

Umer Arshad Inqalabi welcomed the scheduled meeting of the prime ministers of Pakistan and India on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly session in the US. He deplored that instead of accepting the Kashmiris’ aspirations, the Indian government was trying to suppress their voice through force and suppression. He reiterated the Kashmiris’ resolve to continue the liberation movement till it reached at its logical end.
