Srinagar, February 15, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the Chairman of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF), Muhammad Yasin Malik, has said that the Kashmir dispute is a living reality and without its settlement lasting and durable peace in the region is not possible. Muhammad Yasin Malik addressing a public gathering at Sarai Bala in Srinagar said, “People of Kashmir are fighting a war of their future and welfare.
Our struggle for freedom is based on truth and justice and we have been shown and taught this way of continuous struggle by spiritual leaders like Sheikh Syed Abdul Qadir Jeelani (RAH).”
The JKLF Chairman said that if India, Pakistan and the world wanted to promote peace, stability, prosperity, tolerance and brotherhood in South Asia, then they would have to accept the owner status of Kashmiris and include them in negotiations as the prime party to the Kashmir dispute and resolve it in accordance with their aspirations.
Paying rich tributes to spiritual leaders, Yasin Malik said, “Our peers, saints, spiritual leaders showed us the way of life. They taught us to struggle for honour and dignity of humans. Islam and Muslims can still lead the world by following the footsteps of these great people. They showed us the way of wisdom, tolerance, struggle and steadfastness. We have forgotten the teachings of these spiritual leaders and because of this ignorance we are today suffering in our daily lives.”
